We Are All In This Together: Creating Dementia Friendly Congregations

Tuesday August 21st
7:00 to 8:30pm
Congregation Bet Haverim (2074 Lavista Rd. Atlanta, GA 30329)
*** please see parking directions below
Presented by Congregation Bet Haverim & St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal church

Most of us have known someone we care about who has had dementia, is currently living with dementia, or is a care partner caring for someone living with dementia. St. Bartholomew’s and Bet Haverim are two spiritual congregations that are both embracing and inclusive communities. We are thrilled to partner together and introduce an innovative program about how we can create dementia friendly congregations.
Nancy L. Kriseman LCSW social worker (and member of Bet Haverim) and Suzette Binford M.Ed. Master in Counseling, will present an educational program about the different types of dementia and how to best support our members who have dementia and their care partners who are caring for them.
Creating dementia friendly congregations is a unique model. Bet Haverim and St. Bartholomew’s will be the first two congregations in the Southeast seeking to integrate this model into their communities.
We hope you will join us.
