CBH High Holiday Central 2025
We believe that the High Holidays are a time for all to come together and support one another, as we grow in spirit and in action as a united community.
Our theme for 5786, In the Place Where We Are, offers a similar invitation.
Inspired by Rosh Hashanah liturgy, this theme draws from the story of Hagar, cast into the wilderness with her son Ishmael, whose cries are heard by Adonai ba’asher hu sham, in the place where he is. In this story, our tradition teaches that we are met with sacred care, exactly where we are, even when that place is uncertain, difficult or broken. So, come as you are, and experience the warmth and love that define Congregation Bet Haverim with services led by Interim Spiritual Director -Rebekka Goldsmith, Rabbi Elyse Wechterman, Chorus Director - Will Robertson, the CBH Chorus, Band & Strings. Lay Leaders - Brad Davidorf, Rabbi Malka Packer-Monroe, Reuben Haller, McKenzie Wren, Rebecca Leary-Safon, Amy Lighthill, Rob Kistenberg, Amy Price, Ori Kistenberg, Jenny Hoffner and Community Members.
It will be a High Holiday celebration like no other, where spiritual adventure combines with the embrace of tradition to create service experiences that are truly unique here in Atlanta and throughout the Jewish world.
