I suspect that many of us grew up with images of God and messages about God that did not serve us. More challenging is that some of these messages still live within us, even when logically they do not fit in our beliefs. At High Holy Days, the most consistent Jewish practice for many of us, we confront these images directly and often it creates a barrier for connection. So many of our Jewish teaching point to love as the field for exploring godliness, which is the perfect place for us to reflect as we enter the celebration of the creation of the world. Step Into the Holy of Holies to cultivate a more intimate sense of godly presence.
