Tuesday, April 18, 2023 • 27 Nisan 5783
7:00 PM - 8:00 PMCBH & ZoomA service to commemorate Yom Hashoah, led by Rabbi Mike and CBH members. This service will include musical offerings from members of the CBH strings and chorus and honor the lives and legacies of Holocaust victims and survivors connected to our community. Participants will also have an opportunity to learn more about the Words, Music, Memory exhibit on display at CBH from 4/14 until 4/20.
This will be a service with music, narratives from congregants whose families were directly affected by the Shoah, readings and candlelightings in memory of all the groups who were persecuted and murdered during the Shoah. If you would like to participate, there are still candle lighting spots open in memory of these groups: children, political prisoners, Roma, those with disabilities, and Polish and other nationalities murdered. There is also a reading of a poem by Nellie Sachs.
