In The Shadow of the Sukkah
Monday, October 13, 2025 • 21 Tishrei 5786
6:00 PM - 7:30 PMCBHThis 90-minute text study explores grief and impermanence through the lens of Ecclesiastes, paired with contemporary reflections on loss. Held during Sukkot,a festival that holds both joy and fragility, this class offers space for contemplation, vulnerability, and connection. Using sacred texts, silence, chant, and discussion, we’ll consider how grief reshapes our sense of meaning and our relationship with others, ourselves and for some of us God. This session draws from the practices of spiritual direction, with an emphasis on witnessing and presence.
