You’re invited to join us for a joyful Sukkot Harvest Festival at Congregation Bet Haverim on Sunday, October 5th at 9:30am! This ALL-AGES event will begin with a CBHCS style minyan and feature a variety of hands-on stations where people can learn, create, and connect with the beauty of nature and the meaning of the holiday.

What is Sukkot?
Sukkot is a week-long Jewish festival that celebrates the fall harvest and reminds us of the time when the Israelites lived in temporary shelters during their journey through the wilderness. It is both a holiday of gratitude for the bounty of the earth and a spiritual reminder of the fragility and preciousness of life. During Sukkot, many build a sukkah—a temporary hut decorated with greenery and fruits—where meals are shared, blessings are recited, and guests are welcomed.
