When Ruth declared her devotion to Naomi, she pledged herself first to connection, then to peoplehood and faith:
‘Your people shall be my people and your God shall be my God.’ (Ruth 1:16)

At Congregation Bet Haverim, we honor this spirit as Reconstructionist Jews, and recognize the journeys of those who chose Judaism as embracing a faith that is grounded in community.

With joyful music from the CBH Chorus and Band, this special Shabbat will honor and celebrate those in our community that have chosen to formally affirm their Judaism over the past two years. For many, it will be their first public recognition by their Hebrew names before the congregation.

All are invited join us in celebrating this moment with song, spirit, and belonging.
