The Liturgy of Tahara
Sunday, May 14, 2017 • 18 Iyyar 5777
2:00 PM - 4:00 PMCBH LavistaLearn about the liturgy recited during a Tahara with guest educator David Zinner.
Tahara is the ritual washing that occurs between death and burial in the Jewish tradition. For 400 years, our heartfelt and inspirational prayers have helped guide the souls of the women and men we prepared for their next journey. This Mothers Day, honor and remember your mother and those mothers who have come before her by studying these prayers, so that when we are next called upon to perform this mitzvah that can never be repaid, we will understand the deeper meaning of the work of our Chevra Kadisha - the Holy Society's work.
David Zinner is the Executive Director of Kavod V'Nichum.
This event is open to the entire Atlanta Jewish community.
Parking is available at Young Israel of Toco Hills, 2056 Lavista Road.
