7:30 PM - 9:00 PMCBH and ZoomShabbat service commemorating the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire — On March 25, 1911, one of the deadliest workplace disasters in U.S. history occurred at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory in lower Manhattan. 146 garment workers, mostly Jewish and Italian women and girls aged 14 to 23, lost their lives. Join us as we remember those lives and their legacy.
Guest speaker Cameron Michelson is a local organizer for The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, a union representing 100,000 painters, glaziers, wall coverers, flooring installers, glassworkers, sign and display workers, hazmat technicians and drywall finishers in the United States and Canada.
