Join us – the rollicking Lunchtime Torah Study Group – for Kabbalat Shabbat services and study of Parsha Pekudei, which brings the Book of Exodus to a close. In this parsha, the Israelites fulfill God’s requirement to “Make Me a sanctuary that I may dwell in their midst” (Exodus 25:8). The Mishkan/sanctuary construction and furnishings are completed and the priests are appointed and clothed in magical garments. Finally, God’s elemental presence fills the sanctuary for all to see.  Through study and song we’ll collectively bring the sabbath and this text to life.
