Jewish Folk Story Discussion Group
Tuesday, October 22, 2024 • 20 Tishrei 5785
7:00 PM - 9:00 PMLocation Provided Upon Registration ConfirmationThe Jewish Folklore group will be meeting again on Tuesday, October 22nd from 7 PM to 9 PM.
The topic this month is “Sephardic Folktales.” Most of us are relatively familiar with the wide-ranging tales from the Ashkenzi tradition but know little about the rich folklore heritage of the Sephardic tradition.
This month we’ll focus on folktales of Joha—a Jewish trickster whose stories were well known among children from Sephardic communities. Sign up to attend and we’ll get you the stories to read prior to the session and details on where we’ll be meeting.
If you have any questions, reach out to Rick Stone at stone@storywork.com
Sorry, Registration has ended.
