7:00 PM - 8:30 PMZoom OnlyAs our hearts break over scenes of destruction in Israel and Gaza, many community members have been yearning for a voice on the ground in Israel. Ori Hanan Weisberg is a former IDF soldier, a novelist, writer, editor, translator, and father living in Jerusalem. In addition to his published writings, his Facebook posts, balancing the anger and hope in Israeli society, have gone viral due to their wisdom and vulnerability. Join Ori and Rabbi Mike for an intimate conversation about this unique moment in Jewish and Israeli history.
Ori holds a PhD in English Literature from the University of Michigan and has taught at academic institutions in the US and Israel. A veteran activist for equality, he currently works as Grants and International Communications Coordinator for the Israel Religious Action Center (IRAC).
