Musical Shabbat Service
Friday, July 11, 2025 • 15 Tammuz 5785
7:30 PM - 9:30 PMGlenn Memorial UMCThis Shabbat’s Torah portion features one of the most surprising moments in Torah: a talking donkey who sees what a prophet cannot. It’s a reminder that wisdom, wonder, and blessing can come from unexpected places. Inspired by the words of Ma Tovu (How good are your tents) also from this week’s Torah portion, this Shabbat is a chance to discover just how good this place is: our beautiful new venue for the upcoming High Holidays. Join interim spiritual leader Rebekka Goldsmith, music director Will Robertson, the CBH Band and our beloved CBH Chorus and get a taste of sacred gathering in a space that invites blessing. Bring your singing voice, your dancing feet, and your full self.
We are honored to welcome former CBH Board President and current rabbinic student Lauren Levin, who will be offering the d’var Torah for this special Shabbat gathering.
We’ll be offering a special evening to share a taste of the High Holidays in July. A soulful preview of the season ahead, infused with harmony, warmth, and joy. The service will be followed by a special Oneg in Fellowship Hall.
