Bet Haverim is planning a (virtual) celebratory evening of art, music, storytelling, and fun that's all centered on the new CBH album, Red Thread. Part of the fun will be a silent auction of donated art, created by people in the CBH community. 

Bet Haverim has asked the CBH  to partner and collaborate with them on creating art pieces for the auction, as well as performances.

You will have the option to submit either an art piece or a recorded performance. All pieces must be dropped off by April 11, 2021.  All ages are welcome to participate.

Here's what you need to know: 

Art Pieces:
If you are interested in submitting an art piece for the auction, they may do so until April 11th. 
Art pieces can be in any medium. 

Drop Off:
Please be in touch with Hailey to coordinate dropping off at the synagogue on Lavista. OR if it fits in a manila envelope, you can mail it to CBH at the address below:

Art Themes: 
Red Thread/Red String/Red Yarn
Judaism (hamsas; pictures of people, scenes or places from Torah; Shabbat; Tree of Life; the 7 Species of Israel; blessings & prayers; Hebrew letters; Jewish landmarks; the Torah; portraits of inspirational Jewish people; etc)
Judaism pictures that incorporate the color red
Can be in any style (e.g., realism, abstract, cartoon/anime, pop art, etc) 

Art Medium Ideas:
Watercolor pictures on watercolor paper
Acrylic paint on canvas
Sketches and illustrations on sketch paper
Charcoal, color pencils, watercolor pencils, markers/ink, collage, decoupage 
Sculptures made of clay, metal wire, wooden, papier mache, a plant, etc 
Decorated wooden boxes 
Paper twilling
Decorated Shabbat candle holders 
Handcrafted jewelry
Etc

Recorded Performances:
If you are interested in submitting an art piece for the auction, they may do so until April 11th. 

Drop Off:
Please email videos to Hailey Monette at programs@cbhatlanta.org, with the subject line "Red Thread Performance Video." 

Performances can be as follows:
Singing a song from the Red Thread album
Playing a song on an instrument from the Red Thread album
Doing a dance to a song from the Red Thread album
Telling a story based on a theme from the Red Thread album or about a red thread or string
Performing a puppet show based on a theme from the Red Thread album or about a red thread or string
Any other creative performance that incorporates music/lyrics/themes from Red Thread
