Proposition
What if the dark of winter became a place of renewal rather than retreat?
New MOONment is a seasonal energy circle series held on the winter New Moons, offering a grounded, embodied, and spiritually alive space to gather from mid-winter through the Spring Equinox. Rooted in Jewish ritual and infused with creative, somatic, and musical practices, this series invites participants to welcome the New Moon as a threshold of intention, release, and return.
Each gathering weaves together:
- Chant and spontaneous prayer
- Somatic, intuitive movement
- Drumming and rhythm as communal grounding
- Jewish ritual elements including themes from Maโariv, the sounding of the shofar, and lunar teachings
The experience is designed to be accessible, playful, reverent, and deeply human. It honors tradition while making space for creative expression, embodiment, and authentic spiritual connection. Think ancient rhythms meeting present-moment aliveness: groovy, rooted, and soul-forward.
Purpose and Intention
New MOONment creates a container for:
- Releasing what no longer serves during the darker months
- Reconnecting to body, breath, and spirit
- Cultivating communal resilience and joy
- โโโโโโโWelcoming the New Moon as a practice of renewal and possibility
This is not a performance or class, but a circleโan invitation to show up as you are and be moved, literally and spiritually.
Proposed Schedule
- Tuesday, February 17 | 5:30 PM โ 6:45 PM
- Thursday, March 19 | 6:45 PM โ 8:00 PM
The February gathering initiates the series, with a subsequent session deepening the themes of embodiment, lunar cycles, and seasonal transition leading toward spring.
