The first Dementia Friendly Congregations program was held at our synagogue with Saint Bartholomew’s Episcopal church a month and a half ago.  We are so appreciative of those of you that came to learn more about dementia about how we can best support members in our congregation who have loved ones' living with dementia.

Our next program will be on November 27th Tuesday night from 7:00 to 8:30 at Bet Haverim.  We are excited to show an incredible documentary, “Alive Inside” which has won many awards, including the Sundance film festival award of 2014 when it first came out.  This documentary demonstrates the power of music and how it positively impacts the brain and spirit of the person living with dementia. There will be a brief question and answer session afterward.
